urS6 key "into” an S2 ?

Is it possible to use the key from a urS6 which comes with a built in remote control activation buttons to unlock and lock the doors and boot.

It has a nice feature that if one presses the unlock button once, it only opens the drivers door, and leaves the three other doors and the boot locked. If one presses the unlock button twice it opens all four doors and the boot.

I appreciate that one would have to swop in the two front door locks, boot lock, and ignition lock from the urS6, but just wondering what else is involved, is there a separate module, or is this remote facility built into the loom or the ECU ?

I appreciate probably a bit of an extreme way of having remote central locking, but am keen to know nonetheless.

Can’t find the right Votex type c/l unit to make my 1995 S2 Avant have remote central locking ?

Has anyone fitted a decent / satisfactory / easy to fit third remote activation unit for the central locking rather than having to use the key all the time ?

Just realised after typing the above that some S2s came with some sort of infra red c/l kit, the little tab on the exterior of the B pillar, is it a big job to get the relevant bits from a suitable equipped car that is being parted and put them into an S2 that didn’t come with this kit ?

Any photos, even of the relevant key, would be helpful.

Easiest way is to get a decent alarm fitted, Toad AI606 springs to mind.
C/L will work perfectly from the remote.
